Is it an accomplishment?  Yes.

Is it great?  No.

Now she's as good as Wheldon? Casey Mears.  He won with fuel mileage.  Against 42 other cars.  Not 16.  She was midway in the pack until....

And now whackjobs on TV (including my beloved, and racing deficient, PTI boys) are saying that now NASCAR will be looking at her.  Ok.  Whatever.

Look, I don't hate the girl.  I don't even care that she's female.  It's just absolutely rediculous.
Congrats on the first ever, and I do mean ever, win in a series automobile race.

If she remains a serious threat, I will amend my position.  Until then....

She is highly overrated. How long did it take her to win a race that was haded to her? I read somewhere that Helio said that he thought she was a lapped car and he pulled over for her. Yeah, whatever Helio, we know you got the call to let her go. I lost respect for Tony George and the IRL and their fake racing.

Do you ever notice during races when Patrick starts losing positions to other drivers that ABC/ESPN always reports that she has a bad understeer or something like that?     Or how about  when she moves up in position due to strategic fuel stops or attrition that she is labled a very talented racer?    For the car that is beneath her, she should be in contention of winning every race.    She should be smoking Motoh and Marco Andretti if she is so darn good.    To top it off, she's so arrogant.   Then again, look whose team she's on.

You guys talk trash and the majority of you couldn't drive a pedal car around the block without crashing it.

I doubt most of us look as good as Danica in a bikini either.  That still does not change the fact she sucks as a race car driver.  She won in Motegi because TG made a deal with the Pimpksi the Devil and Twinkletoes pulled over to hand her the win.

This is for you GH. http://www.sportsline.com/columns/story/10793432

Here's a little teaser.

The IRL is the junior varsity of racing, is what I'm saying. Danica Patrick finally won herself a JV race, and that's good for her, and it's a neat story. The first woman to do anything -- the first man to do anything, too -- is always cool. But let's not take this too far, OK?

Fantastic!  Thanks trish.  I can't wait to go share this with my "friends" over at mIndystar.
