9/11 - what we've done right since that day
9/11/2006 2:45 PM
After our maddening retreats from Beirut and
Mogadishu, and the Clinton administration's unwillingness to retaliate
meaningfully after terrorist attacks, Islamist extremists concluded -
and bragged - that Americans were cowards who wouldn't fight and hid
behind technology. Well, Iraq proved that our troops don't run, but
fight more fiercely than any other soldiers on earth. Now it's the
terrorists who rely on stand-off weapons - roadside bombs. They're
terrified of taking on our forces in combat. The importance of
regaining our street cred can't be stressed enough.Ralph Peters

You know, j? When 9/11 happened my family and friends were worried about me because of where we work. I told them not to be because we were safer than practically anyone. The terrorists weren't going to fight a straight-up battle; they were going to kill defenseless children and the unprepared. I was right then and I still am.
Fortunately, though, we've taken serious action that's kept the homeland safe these 5 years and we're working on making the world better at the same time.
God bless the USA and give us the strength to carry out this job.

I just can't imagine what was in their mind, how frightful they must have been to do that.![Sad [:(]](/emoticons/frown.gif)

The problem is they don’t have standing armies, and when they do Like Tailbone and Hezzy you destroy what little the do have and they run and hide like rats among the terrorized population. Coming out here and there to pull a cheap shot.
It's time we give them the smack down across the globe.
