Waited for someone else to start a Truck race thread yesterday. Never happened. I thought about starting one, but if noone else cared, why bother.
Bet if a certain Most Popular Cup Driver was in it there would have been some interest. Guess that must be the only guy anyone on this site cares one way or the other about

Same reason the tv ratings are down 4 times as much (18%) last year as well as at-track attendance----the rice burners from Tokyo buying the series. Brian France wonders why the truck series tv ratings dropped? Take some brain pills.

PainterDude...the trucks are where I am at...just not much coverage to be had. I'd particpate more if there were more of us to keep things going!
Tatnell, as for the CTS...it was my understanding it was the only series that had a gain in viewership...as SPEED entered more households. Umm, check your statistics!
As a fan of a Yota driver...he could be driving an Yugo and I'd back him. Oh, and I bought my Toyota before JB every touched the #23! ;) So, backing the Toyotas comes easy to me! ...and no Toyotas will not destroy any series...just set the bar where they can.

I love the trucks its way better racing than Busch or cup. I dont however think about posting on the boards about it though. Maybe that should change.

I am a Truck fan. Grew up racing with Hornaday, around Saugus. Wish they would have left the Trucks on the short tracks, but it still rocks. No CoT. No Chase. Not many Whackers...yet.

I really only watch it if nothing else is on. I lost interest sometime last year, even though my favorite guy in the series won the championship.

Been a Johnny Benson fan for a long time. Hated to see him lose his ride in the cars but I enjoy him in the trucks. The trucks seem to be a series that is giving a chance to different drivers. It's a tough and aggressive series to stay in. Being a dirt fan I've got to see alot of sprint car fans try to make it. Glad to see Erin Crocker getting another chance. She's supposed to have Fonegear 46 as a sponser this weekend. A lot of people have had a laugh at her expense but she was one of my family's favorite when she was with the WOO. Plus she was a very nice person and fan friendly.

Race was pretty calm today. Don't know if Kyle Bush has a better truck or just has more nerve. It was kind of neat when they said he takes no money for driving the truck but does it for the fun of it.

I love the action the trucks provide, but I really have to wonder what the "braintrust" was thinking when the first 5 in points at the season end were toyotas? A distinct horsepower diffrence, ya think? In years past, Bill Jr. made sure NOBODY had an advantage of HP, aero, or anything. That way there was no dominance like there was in the truck series. I'm sure Nascar thought they would be making a TON of money by allowing toyota to join the series, but it appears that it may COST them $$$$ instead.
