I just read the F1 governing body staged a surprise inspection of McLaren looking for Ferrari influence in the 2008 design.
AND!
Now Renault have been summoned to appear before the F1 governing body in Monaco. The charge, are you ready, being in possession of McLaren technical information!
"It said the information included the layout and critical dimensions of the McLaren car as well as details of McLaren's fuelling system, gear assembly, hydraulic control system and suspension. The hearing will be in Monaco on December 6."
The Laguna Seca fender-stretch (24 & 48) episode pretty much pales in comparison to this.
