First, on behalf of Doc and the rest of the Moderators, I would like to say thank you to everybody who has hung in with this site. In light of the problems we have experienced during the last several months, it reflects a true yeoman's effort on the part of all of you.
To those who used to post here more frequently, but now spend more of your time lurking, don't feel left out. We appreciate your loyalty as well.
We are now in the process of trying to resolve this issue. That's the good news. The bad news is that it may be several months before this is accomplished. We wish we could wave a magic wand and make all of the problems go away, but unfortunately, it is going to take a bit of time to bring this site back up to quality you have come to expect.
Doc and the staff at R1 wanted me to convey to all of you that your voices have been heard. Thanks again for the support everyone has given to R1.

Jeez, when I gave Doc my list of squawks I didn't realize he was one of the 'dreaded mods'.

In fact, as I recall, he disclaimed any responsibility for anything. He was just trying to help out.
In any event, we can see progress has been made, especially with the server response time. And anytime you want more critiques, just ask (or not) and we'll give you a blast.
