Set quick time at 11.593

Wins the dash

and wins the A Main.

Great night all around by The Crowd Pleaser

Sad night for Schatzie, Pittman, and The Dude.  Running two three and four a little excitement took place in one and all three were out of contention.

Congrats to the King who "took himself out of his heat on turn three, started 17th in the B and made the transfer to finish fourth in the "A".  Congrats to Steve

Jon Allard second in the A and a great job by the Chico native.  Stay tuned for  night two tomorrow.

Like Jason Meyers said on Dirtvision Steve had no where to go when the cae in front of him got to high in the marbles and slowed down. If you don't know what you are talking about shut the **** up.

Excuse me, unlike your cheap seats (Dirtvision) I was there and saw the whole thing.  Meyers wasn't anywhere near the incident.  You would obviously be the one who doesn't know what he is talking about so save your breath.  By the way, what is a cae anyway?

Congrats to Craig Dollansky and the #2 SnapOn team on his win and dominance on Night 1 of the Gold Cup.
Way to Go, Jonathan Allard and the Zero Heros - 2nd fast and 2nd in the Feature.  Good points for the Sat. Finale!
And Kudos to Chad Kemenah and this #8K team on their hard fought 3rd place (came from an 11th place start).

Great track tonight!

FWIW, I think Jason Meyers was helping Johnny Gibson out with the commentary in the booth.  He runs on Friday.  From my viewpoint in Turn 4 (Seat 44, row T), I thought Steve got together with Jason Sides and that resulted in his flip.

Statler caused the accident that took out the  probable winner Schatz.  Schatz was coming(2nd) and closing on Dollansky when Statler,a lapper, hit the infield tire which ended up taking Schatz out.

Kind of supposing a lot aren't you? I mean, I realize Donny was fast, but who said he would have been able to pass the leader? And that lapper also took out 3rd and 4th.

Sounded like a heckuva race for 2nd through 4th to me.

Noone was hurt, so be thankful.

Thanks for the confirmation and that is how I saw it also.  Kinser charging a little to hard and diving low, into three, momentum always wins the batle doesn't it?

Were you there dude?? While Schatz was fast I don't think anybody was going to get by Dollansky! Craig was on a rail all night, plus being lucky and pulling a 1 pill for the dash did not hurt either. Tonight will be fun as well!

By the way, I would hardly call Jason Statler a squirrel. He is a former King of California and has one WoO win in his career. Even Steve Kinser made a mistake and flipped in his heat, so it happens to the best of them! The track Had slicked off in the spot where he lost it.

It should be fun watching Schatz come from the middle of the B on Saturday!

Coming to you live from my camping spot at Silver Dollar fairgrounds.

Thank you for posting that Rail.  I had heard the same thing from some fans that WERE THERE!  So thanks for confirming that for me.

Robbie, you wish it no more than I. The one thing that makes it easier having to listen to it, rather than being there, is the fact that Leon got to attend. I can't wait for his reports.

Praying for another safe night of tight, close racing for everyone out there.
