For trucks, there is nothing like a diesel for power, reliability, fuel milage, and longivity. Now, if you had a Rabbit diesel p/u... the experiences may vary !!
As for me, I have owned Dodges and Duramaxes. Both were good. Dodge didnt have a decent Auto or Stick tranny, tho. Tried 'em both. Allison wins.
BTW.. Volkswagen and other European auto mfg's have suspended all R & D on gasoline. Strictly diesel. Cry if you must, but its true.
