Spa is such a cool track! Some good overtaking.
Too bad they can't figure out how to get through that corner after Les Combes on the first lap. The drivers who try to show patience get run over. Button and Hamilton were both victims here.
I was happy to see the Burro at least get a couple of points. I thought he could take Kovalianan until the smoke started.
The question is was Fischi auditioning for the Ferarri seat at Monza when he let Raikkonen by after the restart, because he sure didn't fall back after being overtaken so quickly.

It is beginning to look like no one wants the title.
Burro practically stalls on the grid.
Button qualifies like a dog.
Vettel has five more races on two motors and the current one has a hard race a t Spa. I'm surprised they didn't have him slow down in the final stint to save the motor.
Webber gets a drive through which knocks him out of the points.

Two races in a row Button failed to score points and Burro is the only one who made-up any ground with 12, but that should have been 15-16.

This is a throw-away season as far the championship goes.  I don't know if any of 'em even deserve it.

I love Spa.  A real track.

Hey, did you hear that F1 is now investigating possible shenanigans by Renault at last year's Singapore event.   They think Piquet was told to crash after Alonso pitted, bringing out the safety car and putting FA out front.  Could get crazy.

I've been reading about the "Race Fixing" over on EuroSport.com.
If it's true Flavio and co are in deep doo-doo! To me it sounds more like sour grapes from Piquet.
The only way I can see to prove this is through the recorded team radio conversations. Otherwise it is a disgruntled ex-employee seeking revenge.
Considering the situation, if found to be true, Piquet ought to be banned from all FIA events for being an active participant.
However the FIA have a history of going easy on the driver and hardon the team.
Look at the 2007 season. McLaren was disallowed from the contructors championship, but Alonso and Hamilton were allowed to compete using cars which profited from the Ferarri design.

On another note Nurburg and Spa may resort to sharing a date on the calendar to reduce expenses. Hockenhiem is gone and instead we get Valencia, and on the horizon is India and South Korea.
So many of the founding European tracks can't afford to host a race thanks to Bernie. He's taking away races in areas where the auto manufacturers need exposure in exchange for big paydays from the Middle East and Asia.
