8/11/2006 9:28 PM
Just trying to get the word out for those who don't already know...

The All Star Circuit of Champions are set to invade Mayetta, Kansas on Monday August 14th.

Thunderhill Speedway is a high banked, wide, 4/10 mile oval speedway located 14 miles north of Topeka on HWY. 75, and two miles west on 142nd rd.

Randy Hanagan set a blistering track record of 12.34 seconds when the All Stars visited Thunderhill in 2005, making the speedway one of the fastest 4/10 mile ovals in the country.

This year, Rookie contenders Chad Blonde, Brandon Martin, and James Mosher will be seeking their first All Star win.  Meanwhile, Greg Wilson and Brock Mayes are set to battle for the season points lead going into the final stretch of the 2006 season.

The gates will open at 4pm, hot laps will begin at 7 pm, and time trials will begin at 7:30. Thunderhill's USRA Hobby Stocks and USRA Factory Stocks will join the All Stars as a support class for the event.  The last day to purchase advance tickets for this event will be August 13.

Advance tickets can purchased for $17 at participating O'Reilly Auto Parts Locations across Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Oklahoma.  Tickets the day of the race will be $22 at the gate for adults and $8 for kids ages 7-13.  Children six and under will be admitted free with a paid adult.  Camping is allowed at the speedway free of charge.

For further information call the speedway at (785) 966-2844, or visit the track website at www.thunderhillmayetta.com.  The All Star Circuit of Champions website can be viewed at www.allstarsprint.com.
