Wow. What a performance by Joe Biden. His command of the issues was outstanding. He truly has the experience and knowledge necessary to be a heartbeat away from the presidency. Obama made a fantastic choice in picking him, and clearly Obama will win the election. Biden has a clear mastery of foreign affairs.
The fear about Gwen Ifill being in the tank for Obama were clearly misplaced. She moderated in the best ever manner, and no one can now seriously claim she is biased. Her unbiasedness was only exceeded by her non-partisanship, and the aforementioned fears of bias have been revealed as mere hate speech and Rovian dirty tricks.
Palin stumbled on every answer. The lady is embarrassing. She has no experience for the job and had the caribou in the headlights look the entire debate. Her answers were horrible when they were coherent. She had to come out and prove she was ready for the job, and clearly she isn't ready yet. McCain made a desperate Hail Mary last gasp gamble by picking her, and it has failed miserably. There is no way this woman should be in the White House. She doesn't have the intelligence nor the experience for the world stage. She should go back to be the mayor of that Northen Exposure town.
yeah....I know the debate hasn't happened yet....but why waste time reading how the media will spin it when we know already.

Palin in my opinion smacked old Biden right in the chops ! I really liked her then started to wonder,with all the media putting the screws to her . I think if you watched the debate and listen to her un -EDITED comments , that without a doubt she won the debate and showed she's not a dummy or as the media would have you believe outta touch ! STILL DON"T CARE FOR McCain in general ,but still will vote Republican come Nov 4th (as I have in every election since I've been able to vote) .

I don't know if I would call her performance a home run, but it was most definitely a stand up triple. I think two of her most succinct point was she will give the answers she wants and not what the media wants and she enjoyed talking to American with out the media filter on. Joes worst gaff was when he said something about gay marriage, right before he said he was against gay marriage. Other then that, he had ten distinct lies. Duane

I thought they both did a good job. Sarah was much more likeable and came across as a real person and not so much as a typical politician.

Issues and policies aside, I would give the win to Biden. They clearly both had positives. But when it comes to negatives, I think that Palin had more. Several times when asked questions, she started talking about totally non-related issues. And her responses seemed very rehearsed. I know that they all are. But Biden seemed to articulate his answers clearer and they were easier to comprehend. They seemed to flow better. Palin came very close to having "mush-mouth" several times. And I did catch a glimpse of the " deer in the headlights look ". But only a glimpse. She was able to pull through it.
But from the beginning I gave the edge to Biden simply for his experience in debating. Palin is new to this. In a point spread I would have given Biden a seven point advantage.
Palin did good for herself though. She held her own. Good job for her.

Palin did well. I knew she would.
By the way, Biden lied (not exxagerated) about McCain on at least four occasions. He also spent the debate looking like he was ready to explode.
McCain needs to let her loose. Scrue network interviews unless they're live.
By the way, CBS has yet to release the unedited transcripts from Katie Couric's so-called interview.
McCain needs to hammer the Democrats on this financial mess. They've tried to blame Bush and McCain, but the evidence proves otherwise. See the thread I posted on this topic.
Good job Sarah Palin. She may save McCain's butt. At times it seems as though he doesn't care.

I felt she did a good job, well rehearsed, and actually sounded like McSame throughout the debate. My hat is off to her for standing up to the challenge.
