Man, would I be pissed at JGR and Denny Hamlin for giving me the opportunity to qualify the 20 car, and the opportunity to start the race in it when Hamilin was late and show what I can do in a good car.

That would make me so angry!  So very, very angry!!

How dare they give me the chance to prove myself!!!

How dare they pull me out of JGR's car that Denny Hamlin was scheduled to drive!!!

Obviously not that grateful...Jayski "rumors", yeah just a rumor, Almirola to be joining Ginn next year.

I think it's the right thing for Almirola to do, if he decides to move on.

Like I said in another thread, this is not about Rockwell wanting Denny in the car at Milwaukee. This is about Aric getting yanked around by JGR. The understanding that the sponsor wanted Denny in their car at their headquarters is not the issue, in my opinion. They pay millions to sponsor a race team, if not listening to their request means the pulling of sponsorship...you do what keeps the sponsor happy, in most instances, if not all.

However, I am still not siding with JGR on this issue. Why is Almirola being pushed to the side when the other JGR Busch team car, the #18, is being driven by Brad Coleman and this Conway kid. No offense to either, I think they both have bright futures, but what's the deal. Hasn't Almirola paid his dues the last 2 seasons and deserved first crack at that car, when Hamlin is in the 20? Or at least a majority of the rides, if you are going to split the seat time? If there is sponsor requests that Coleman or Conway be in that car, then I definitely think it is time for Almirola to split from JGR and go where the opportunity is best given to him to RACE a car.

Almirola wasnt pushed to the side...If I had bought a tcket..and travelled to watch Hamlin

race in a Busch race...which I do...then Id be pissed..if they didnt put him in. Thats who I

paid to watch...and spent $ travelling to watch. JGR made the right call...I feel for Almirola...

I have been watching this kid...but rights right. Hamlin was scheduled to race..he was late...

but there...so let him race for the fans that paid the big $ to attend and watch HIM.

I understand why the kid is disappointed.  But, I think he handled it pretty well all things considered.  This is JGR; so, he could have easily said  to himself "WWTD?" and headed for the nearest TV camera and microphone to start telling the world what was on his mind out of frustration.  But, he kept his mouth shut and moved along.

All in all, I think it was a good weekend for him.  He showed what he could do in the car, and he also showed that he has a little character about him.

And he got his first win!  Even if he wasn't at the wheel when the car took the checkers, he started the race and gets credit for the win.

Congrats Aric!

If Aric was so upset about getting out of the car, he should have sped down pit row.  When they got pentilized then he could have said.  All I was thinking was we need the extra time to change drivers.

And as for fans paying to see Denny Hamlin?  Well then maybe he should get there on time so his paying fans can watch him race.

It was not so much fans as the sponsors.

OK, then:

Another reason why they need to find a way to discourage the cup guys running the Busch races.

but it was a pretty classless move by a sponsor to yank someone out of their car, who was winning at the time, to put denny in it when he was that late...although with that said, like i've said in other posts, the sponsors get what they want...they send you checks...
