California race attendance....

This may have already been covered but I havent been on here in a while...anything on exact numbers for the race? With all the hubbub about the empty seats at the first one...just wondering....

I haven't seen anything yet, but am looking forward to them. Sure didn't look like there were unsold seats.

Don't know, I didn't watch it. I knew it would be another boring NAPCAR race.

I spent some time in california recently. Its not a Nascar town. Most of the televised races start at 9:00 AM on a Sunday.

My hotel didn't have TNT the week I was there so there I sit in a sports bar at 10:00 AM Drinking Beer. Thank God for jet lag or I would have felt really creepy.

When I asked the waitress to please put the race on. After she looked down her nose at me, She had to ask the manager if it was okay. 10 screens 2 customers and they had to have a meeting about it. They put me at the end of the bar.

Did I say their was a Marine Air Base across the street?????WTF [:wtf]

The stands were not full for the Busch race,but I noticed in the Cup race they were. I don't even like California! I like the tracks in the South. I would like to go to TMS in November if i get the money. Never been to a Nascar race.

I guess it's over your head, but CA is not a town, it's a state.

So what does the time the races come on have to do with it? Might be inconvenient to you but us in CA live with it and don't complain. Not even about getting up at 3:30 am for the GP2  then F-1 when they race.

So you spend a weekend in some hole in the wall, and that makes you an expert about fans all over the whole state. Must be some kind of freaking physic.

I 've seen your post and whining on another board, pretty easy to spot someone that speaks for the sole purpose of hearing themself talk.

I don't know aboput this years race but I did attend last year and 115k, give or take one or two.  Rather watch it on the tube............
